This CEO is about as foolish as you can get. You don't have to tell that to his employees, like u/Chairfighter, who have to put up with his shenanigans no matter what the cost. They just have to roll their eyes and do what the higher-ups say.

While CEOs and COOs get paid many times more than their employees, they probably don't know very much about the day-to-day life of an employee at their company. Many CEO take long vacations, spend their days on the phone, schmoozing with clients at lunches, or "working remotely" (but we all know they're not really working). Meanwhile, the employee who's making 5% of the CEO's salary is hard at work doing the things that keep the company running. Everyone has their own job to do, but the CEO can't pretend that they know as much as a factory machine worker when they just don't have that same skillset.
