Vacation Turns Sour When Woman’s Ugly Side Comes Out, Ruining a 5 Year Long Friendship: ‘I blocked her when we landed’

Welcome back internet enthusiasts. You never really know someone until you go on a trip with them. Seeing someone outside of your bubble of comfort, home, and normality can break notions you once had of them, sending you into thoughts about them you never had before. Luckily for me, I have rarely traveled with friends, and when I have, it's been more than enjoyable. But it isn't always the case. 

In this Reddit thread, these women had to learn the hard way that they weren't as compatible as they thought they were. In their five year friendship, they didn't see any reason not to be friends, until a seven day trip to Japan. Granted, Japan is a hyper isolating country, it's extremely foreign for most Westerners, and it can be difficult to be there even without drama from another person. But things could not be mended between them the whole time. Upon landing, the friendship was sent straight to the graveyard.

    She would ask me how my legs were doing and I'd answer honestly like "yeah they hurt" and she later mocked and berated me saying it made her feel bad I was complaining about my legs. I never said they hurt out of my own accord nor did I stop what we were doing or ask for breaks.

    If she asked I said yeah but she'd rather I'd lie. I asked if she was thirsty while we waited for open hours and she said no, so I went to find me a coffee shop to grab one real quick. Or telling me she was going to smack my hand because I had it near my nose as I was choking on so much secondhand smoke my throat was getting raspy.     She just needs to stick to Cabo, Ibiza, Las Vegas, etc. It's good you blocked her. Even if she wasn't feeling the trip, she didn't have to suck. so bad.
