No, you can't get a refund if the food was made yesterday I work at a restaurant that also has a drive through. I was order taker and someone else was cashier. This lady came through, saying she had a return order so I told her to come to the window as that's a window issue. When she came up, before my cashier could even greet her, she dropped her food infront of her and demands a refund.

We cannot issue a refund, the managers do. I'm literally standing right there and can see my coworker just says she's going to get a manager, and closes the window as we always do to keep the air and bugs out - she turns around, and this lady REACHES OUT to grab the window and slams it open, she's SCREAMING at my cashier, telling her "don't give me a attitude". She never did. We get our manager, who she gets to yelling at.

Turns out, her food order was from yesterday. At my job, at the end of the night, we clear out the systems of all the orders and tickets, so even if we wanted to give her a refund, we literally couldn't. She said she tried to call, but nobody picked up. Fridays are one of our busiests days, so I'm not surprised if nobody was able to answer her. My manager tries to make up for it, by giving her a refund in gift cards, but she's refusing it, demanding she gets a card or cash refund but we literall

cannot do that. The order has to be in the system in order for us to effectively give her a refund. She then starts complaining about the cashier, telling the manager that she was yelling at her and giving her an attitude, but not only could I attest to this, but so could like 3 other people as we were all RIGHT there as this was happening! My cashier did none of that, she was respectful and just did what we usually do. She held up the line for 14 minutes straight. Seriously, why do customers li

Hiffybiffy Go to line is "call corporate, they would be happy to assist you" I mean we all know that's a lie because corporate doesn't care either.

Read_More_First That is one of the huge frustrations of customer service. I hate when people act like cashiers aren't people too!!! I'm sorry that happened to you. ☺

Known-Quantity 2021 LOL, holds the lineup for 14 minutes while screaming and refusing a simple fix to her issue and complains that the casher gave her attitude. Ma'am you're embarassing yourself.

No_Nefariousness4801 Too many spineless managers misquote the 'the customer is always right'. Full quote: the customer is always right in matters of taste. In other words, no point arguing with their preferences, but that leaves an entire universe of other ways they can be, and very often are, wrong. They seem to think that retail and/or service industry employees have magical abilities to make computers do things outside their programming.

gene_randall Research shows that people who are nasty to waitstaff consume an average of 2 liters of server spit per year. It's not much, but it makes you feel better. Especially if they eat in, where you and others can watch them, then loudly exclaim, "she ate it!"

SimplyKendra They couldn't come in to deal with this? Yikes people are so unhinged. Carolus Rex13x Well no, they probably hoped they would just issue a refund for it over the phone and tell the customer to just toss the food so they could still eat it.

-Tofu-Queen- I can't imagine making such a fuss and wasting so much of my own time and gas over a fast food order that was less than $15. Like surely there's better things she could be doing with her life, maybe getting a job if she's so desperate for $15.
