Vet Claims That a Dog Has a “Phantom Pregnancy”, a Few Days Later, the Dog Gives Birth to 10 Puppies

We don't think anyone could argue that a vet's job is insanely important. And awesome. First of all, dogs make the best patients. Yes, they do. Some of them absolutely love going to the vet's, and it just makes everyone happy, the owners and vets included. Second of all, vets know all the secrets about dogs and different breeds, and they love spilling the beans and telling us about it. And at the end of the day, vets save our dogs' lives sometimes. Maybe not every day, but even once is enough to make their job essential.

But that doesn't mean that every vet is the same. It doesn't mean that every vet knows exactly what they're talking about every minute of every day. It is just as important to find a good vet for your dog as it is finding a good doctor for yourself. Because vets like the one in this story, who somehow missed the fact that a dog was pregnant with 10 puppies… you might have to think about replacing that one.

One puppy, a bad day, an inexperienced vet… maybe they could have missed this. But they did not miss one puppy. They missed a whole ten of them. We wholeheartedly agree that this person should get a new vet. This accidental miss might have been a cute one that ended with puppies, but you would not want your vet to miss something that was not quite so cute.

But okay, fine, these are some of the cutest puppier ever. Like all puppies. It's good that this momma doggo had some good humans around her to help her through this incredibly long and tasking birthing experience. Now, we only hope that all the puppies find pawfect forever homes.
