'I stood up for myself, and I won': Restaurant server tells entitled customer their honest opinion of her drink request, stuns customer

This customer had some pretty entitled demands for her server. Many such cases! It seems like waiters and waitresses are always dealing with customers who insist on getting the best service, expecting their servers to go above and beyond, all while these customer treats them really impolitely. The customer never once gives a thought to the way their actions will make the server feel. Instead, they want to get everything they can from the waiter while paying as little as possible. 

That's what happened with this woman, who demanded a bunch of lemons. Some diners will do this to save a dollar or two. Instead of getting a lemonade for probably like 2 or 3 dollars, they'll order a water, a bunch of lemons, and use the sugar packets to make lemonade on their own. I can't imagine that the sugar mixes into the ice water very well. It probably tastes like crunchy sugar water with sour lemon. Some people just can't afford lemonade… but making your own worse version of it just isn't the solution. 

Up next, this recruiter had a big laugh after finding out that one of their candidates decided to "list their typing speed at 270 WPM," making them the literal fastest typist in the world if true (spoiler alert: they were lying!).

    for the love of lemons party of 2 older women is seated in my section. one wants coffee, one water with lemon. i'm a generous person, so i brought this seemingly sweet old lady THREE LEMONS. upon return to the table, she proceeds to scoff at me, and pluck each lemon up one by one, & drop them on the table in front of me exclaiming,

    "WHAT IS THIS? THIS ISNT A LEMON. THERES NO JUICE IN THESE LEMONS. I DONT EVEN WANT THEM." i proceed to calmly tell her, "ma'am, you asked for one lemon, & i brought you three....." this SET HER OFF. she continued to rant about the abomination of lemons i gave her, saying she could not possibly do anything with the lemons, asking me what i expected HER to do.

    i then did something very controversial: i told her i believed she was being very to me. GASP. i said the thing! she was gobsmacked that i had the audacity to stand up for myself & told me she was NOT being i then informed her id be back. i cut up an ENTIRE lemon into quarters, & delivered it to the table, WITH A SMILE ON MY FACE.

    she had flagged down my angel of a GM before i arrived with said lemon. he was explaining to her that i had multiple tables & i couldn't stress mysef out over her lemons, & that i hadn't done anything wrong. i thanked him for his service, & he left. the lovely lady chose not to eat, but i served her mother a good breakfast, & her mother tipped me 20%. my GM told me if she comes in again & wants an entire lemon, there's an upcharge ☑

    ThatAndANickel I once had a woman - ordering "free lemonade". water plus more and more sugar and lemons. I could tell it was embarrassing the out of the rest of the party. When I asked about starters, she declined. I said, are you sure? I could bring hot water and ketchup, you could have tomato soup!

    DivaDreaming I had a customer ask me for extra lemons, so I brought her a little bowl full. The woman looked at me and said, "I tip based on how many lemons I'm brought." That happened probably 5 years ago, that conversation plays in my head every time someone asks me for extra lemons. People are NUTS!

    vaiporcaralho Sounds like the woman and her friend who had ordered two pots of tea along with other things but I was only serving drinks at this point. It was a small cafe only 3/4 staff but we each had our designated things to do.

    I bring the teapots first because they were ready (we didn't have trays) and literally have just set them on the table & she immediately says I need a cup what am I supposed to drink it with??

    I don't crack easily but she was very close to making me as she'd been obnoxious the whole time even wanting an exact ingredient list of what was in every single thing which wasnt possible as stuff is bought in etc but I tried my best as I have allergies myself I know what it's like.
