28-year-old daughter angered mother won't "rewatch" the TV show "Gilmore Girls" with her: 'It is a show about a very entitled and bratty mother and daughter who constantly yell and scream at each other'

Everyone is into "rewatches" these days; in fact, it's even trendy to do so. There's something comforting and familiar about watching something you've already seen. This cozy ritual almost connects you to that time and who you were as you tap into the memories associated with your first viewing. In a sense, it's less about the TV show itself and more about reconnecting with a past version of your own self.

When this mother's 28-year-old daughter, Jessica, moved back in with her parents after a breakup, she asked her mother to partake in a "rewatch" of the popular 00's TV show "Gilmore Girls" with her. The mother didn't know much about the show outside of the fact that she was not a fan regarding the titular characters as being "very entitled" and remarking that the show relies on the viewer finding their "yelling matches" to be "endearing." Further, she didn't want to spend the lengthy amount of time that it would take in order to complete this full rewatch.

This angered her daughter, who got "hurt feelings" over the matter, prompting the mother to turn to this online community to see whether or not she was in the wrong for refusing to partake in the ritual.
