Star Wars has given us a whole new lexicon. It's such an absorbed and engrained part of culture that we forget that it wasn't always around. The line "Luke, I am your father" (even if it's apocryphal, and is actually "No, I am your father) has such a grip on us that anyone could be summoned to recite it at any time. The idea of light sabers has become so second nature to us that we have opinions on which colors of them we would rather own (not to mention that some people proudly display them in their homes).

The idea of the "force" is so universally acknowledged that we all know what we mean when we say it. We take the particularities of Star Wars for granted, and we don't remember that someone had to invent all of it back in the 70s. Good thing we have memes to remind us of its everlasting power.
