For a number of reasons, the mother who birthed the cubs was unable to raise them, and without her, the cubs would not have lasted very long. So, four veterinarians stepped up to be their "foster mothers" and raised the two cubs around the clock for years. They grew up to be strong, healthy polar bears, and the relationship they built is one that you will remember for a long time.
