Never mess with the people in charge of your work calls–you never know who's going to be calling. 

This disgruntled employee turned malicious compliance into a spot of harmless revenge in the workplace after their boss made a snide comment. Taking their 'command' seriously, they caused an embarrassing encounter that will certainly teach their boss not to be so literal next time. 

If one of the higher-ups at work makes a belittling comment in the workplace, employees aren't very stoked about it. Cursing the name of their managers and supervisors on their break, employees are not happy when leadership relies on intimidation and ruthless commands; it rarely inspires loyalty in the workplace. So when this worker in our next story got the snappy command to 'never interrupt their boss again' they took it seriously, even when the boss's boss's boss was waiting endlessly on hold.

I used to write notes to him (covertly) when we were in meetings and the topic got to something I knew a lot about and he didn't.
