'I laughed in her face': Halloween store employee refuses to refund a retail Karen for a child-sized costume she purchased for her 17-year-old, so Karen calls the police

This Karen tried to hoodwink a seasonal retail employee by showing up the day before their store permanently closed for the year and attempting to return an item. While the retail worker was happy to break company policy to help out a customer with a truly defective item, this Karen was clearly just trying to rip them off. 

Sorry to break it to you guys, but Halloween is over. As someone who already has all of their Christmas decor firmly in place for the duration of the year, it seems pretty obvious that spooky season has concluded, but when you're a desperately entitled Karen trying to get your way in the world, anything goes. And as the seasonal Halloween stores are closing their doors and putting away the old bats, wrinkled ghouls, and crypt keeper decorations, the real-world equivalents are just starting to come out of the woodwork. 

When this cashier encountered the scariest customer of all–a receipt-waiving, money-grubbing Karen–they were immediately relieved that their Halloween store was closing because this woman purchased a child-sized costume for her 17-year-old and thought she could return it… AFTER Halloween. Nice try, lady.

    LookAway Please510 It's super sus that she bought the costume before Halloween and brought it back after. I doubt there's a 17 year old kid. I wish that when people called the police for things like that, they would have to spend one night in jail for wasting their time, or obstruction of justice.

    s decoy OP Yes, I heard her on the phone telling them that I "stole" from her. The cops also mentioned when they showed up that they had JUST responded to a very similar incident down the street.
