Parents Demand Teenager Carpool Her Siblings to School Everyday, She Refuses and Takes Her Bike Instead, They Revoke Car Privileges

Teenage years have a glaring juxtaposition; on one hand, you're still not seen as legal adults, and you're taken care of financially and logistically by your parents. But on another hand, you're under their reign, their influence, and their control. It feels like a life so far away now, but the teenage years, although frought with carefree, playful times with friends, are also burdened by the memory of being forced to do your parent's biddings…chores, errands, carpools, it seems like a worse version of Dante's 9th circle of purgatory. 

In this Reddit thread, it centers around a teenager going through it. She's given car privileges after receiving her license, but under a certain stipulation: she must carpool her younger siblings to school everyday. Sounds like a walk in the park, right? Well with traffic, parking, and going to both an elementary school and a junior high school, she's quite jaded by it. She puts her foot down, and chooses her bike over the car.
