'I revoked their access': Job candidate submits elaborate marketing plan assignment but doesn't get the job, company demands to still use her plan, she refuses

How many assignments do you reckon you submitted in your journey to find a job? A couple? Dozens? Hundreds?
People who have been looking for a job for quite some time, have probably gone through dozens of assignments they had to provide to hiring managers and recruiters. Out of those dozens, at least some have been later used by the company they applied for, even if they didn't get the job.

Admittingly, this happened to me a while ago. The company I interviewed for used my ideas on their social media even before they rejected me for the job. I even pointed it out in my last interview, but they tried to brush it off with an 'Oh, we actually thought of that idea as well, before you even submitted your assignment', yeah, right.

I didn't get the chance to stop them from using my ideas, but luckily, the person who wrote this Reddit story did, and it was oh-so-satisfying. OP (original poster) was asked to submit a 5-page marketing plan for the role, and she did a great job. However, the company removed the role due to budget cuts, so OP didn't get the job. That didn't stop the company from trying to still use OP's plan behind her back, but she quickly put a stop to their attempts.
