Single mom calls out younger sister because she isn't available 24/7 to take care of her 3 children for free, sister refuses to babysit until she is shown respect
Single motherhood can be quite difficult, especially when you have more than one tiny tot to look after every day. You have to work in order to provide for your children, put food on the table so they stay healthy, and somehow find free time to recharge.
Though quite tolling, single motherhood is also very rewarding. Many women don't just choose to take care of their multiple children by themselves–certain events lead them to that lifestyle. There's nothing wrong with asking for help from family to make ends meet, but you cross a line when you berate those who aren't available 24/7 to fill a "secondary parent" role.
In this next story, a woman has (for lack of a better word) been forced to take on a caretaker role for her older sister's three children. Though she enjoys it half of the time, she is left with a sense of wanting. She rarely goes out with friends so she can be there for her sister, and takes care of her children free of charge. The woman and her friends made a plan to go out and enjoy a rare girls' night, but her sister texted her that morning in hopes she could watch the children for a few hours. The woman declines, and instead of her sister accepting this, she calls the woman out at their family dinner. The woman refuses to be treated with zero respect and lets her sister know that she'll no longer be helping her out so long as she continues with her entitled ways. Scroll to read.
