Was it the promise of living out your favorite fantasy in the comfort of your own home, exploring new regions of the world and internet ether until your heart was filled to the brim with adventure? Or, was it the mere fact that you could put on a headset and be in a world that was different from your current reality? If it was neither of those choices, you likely just thought it was a pretty sick concept and didn't want to feel left out of the up-and-coming invention.
