Happy meowrning, cat people! And welcome back to the cutest, most wholesomest, segment on the internet that feels like a warm hug on a cold, cold day. And no, we are not exaggerating, because there is no way to not 'aww' when you are about to meet the newly adopted faces of the week!
Each and every Friday, first thing in the morning, we bring you a brand new, fresh collection of awwdorable cat adoption stories. We do it because we know that no matter when or what is going on in the world, this is a listicle that makes all of us, cat people, smile and have our faith in humanity restored.
As always, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who made the amazing step of adopting a cat this week. And of course, as usual, an even bigger than you to everyone who adopted an "impurrfect" cat - a senior cat, a sick cat and every other kitty who needs a little more care than most. We wish you all many, many happy and healthy years together!
"Meet Sanchito. I was just in Mexico City on vacation. My second to last day, we ended up at a Mercado that had animals in cages. It was absolutely horrific. I'm devastated I couldn't rescue more but I'm so glad I got this guy out."
"I found this little monster in the middle of the road challenging cars. I took him by his little paws, brought him home and put a collar around his neck. We agreed that he would no longer roar at cars now he is my criminal :)"
"Found him on the side of the road in the scorching heat in southern France, he was screaming really load, that's how I found him. I waited for a an hour but no mother came so I took him home and fed him with some cat milk from the vet :) he's really healthy and happy, recent pictures at the end."
"It was hard to get it together before we arrived to her new owner. I'm over the moon that we found such a good adopter but it always feels like it's too soon... Have a good forever Miss Pomni, and thank you for loving me in the time I got to be your mama…"
"I adopted this adorable little psychopath (Zara) a couple of days ago from a shelter and she has been absolutely amazing but also a crackhead, she's soooo loving and also insane. Her paperwork when I adopted her said she was 1 year and 3 months old. This was slightly jarring considering she weighs just under 3 pounds, and wasn't eating as much as I expected her to. I went back through her medical records and what would you know, she's only 3 months old. Whatever, mistakes happen. She's still perfect"
"Hello, this is little Una. I adopted her about 6 months ago from the shelter, as she was the sweetest little pirate kitten. She turned out to be more spicy and energetic than at first, but I'm glad she feels safe to be herself now. Clearly, (her) bed is the favourite spot"
"Rescued her a little over a month ago, shelters was running out of space so she was at risk of euthanasia. We are a 501c3, Love 4 Paws Rescue in SC, so we were able to pull her, get her spayed, fully vaccines and microchipped. She's now in a loving forever home"
"Recap: I adopted this boy July 30th. He was set to be TNR and labeled "feral: cannot handle." They told me "you can try" when I asked to meet him after seeing him online. He clung to me, and I immediately adopted him. He was afraid of everything and trusted nothing. He was so skinny!
Now: he's a chubby, happy, cuddly boy, and almost 6 months old…"
