Is it just me, or does it feel like the early 2000s were just, like, yesterday? There's no way we're already 24 years into this millennium. It's not possible. I still vividly remember the ritual of unplugging the landline to connect it to the back of my computer every time I wanted to go online. The sound of a dial-up modem trying to connect is practically burned into my brain forever. And let's not forget the iconic CD cases we all had in our cars—those big, bulky ones filled with carefully curated playlists that we burned ourselves.
Oh, and cell phones had buttons. Actual physical buttons! So many buttons. Then the iPhone showed up and made them obsolete overnight. And can someone tell me what happened to that strange buzzing sound computer speakers used to make whenever a nearby cellphone got a call? It was everywhere back then, and now it's just… gone. Weird, right?
