Host Calls off Thanksgiving Dinner After Micromanaging Sister Hands Out ‘Family Code of Conduct,’ Complete with Dress Codes and Assigned Seats: 'She showed up with printed copies'

The holidays should be a happy time filled with lots of gratitude (and yummy food and presents, obviously). But the company you enjoy them with can change the entire vibe of the season. Sure, you can have the best turkey in town, but it's hard to get in the holiday spirit if you're sitting next to your cousin who chews with their mouth open or an uncle who turns every conversation into a political rant. Add in the stress of hosting, and the holidays start to feel more like a pressure cooker than a relaxing family affair.

And speaking of pressure, this sister took "helping" to a whole new level. She showed up at her sister's house and demanded the family follow a "Family Code of Conduct" contract with rules on everything from conversation topics to a dress code at Thanksgiving. You can't make this stuff up. But instead of signing up for this micromanaged feast, the host stood her ground and refused to let anyone make rules for her own house. Now, the family is split on whose side to take.
