Happy morning, cat people! We hope that your week has been purrfect, that you have been able to start your days on the right paw despite ohw cold it is outside now. But just in case you haven't and you need a little extra help getting up this morning, we have the pawfect thing to warm you up on the inside. It's time to meet the newly adopted faces of the week!
Each and every week, we bring you a whole new collection of the cutest, sweetest, most heartwarming cat adoption stories that we could find on the web. Because whether it's cold or hot outside, starting your day with a bunch of kitty cats finding their furrever homes means starting your day on the right paw.
As always, we want to give a huge thank you to everyone who adopted this week and in the past. We wish you all many happy and healthy years together!
"We adopted her 5 weeks ago. She has been skittish and mostly hiding the whole time due to coming from a not so great situation before. This is the first time she has done this."
"Hi All, I am blown away to see all your support for this little girl. To give a quick update, she is currently in surgery to have one broken leg repaired and the other leg is need consistent attention to help her regrow skin from the road rash (we think she was thrown from a car on hwy 60 near Los Angeles)my gf and I are going trying to figure out how to cover her medical expenses…"
"I'm excited to share that for the first time in my 22 years of life, I'm officially a cat owner! My husband and I adopted the two gentlemen from the shelter earlier this week! The ginger cat is named Dr. Mambo and the charcoal one is named Olivander. I love them so much already. Do you guys have any tips or information that you wish you'd known as a first-time cat owner? Thanks in advance!"
"From the age of 9, we had family cats, and I always loved them. Once I was old enough to live on my own, my goal was to have my own cat, but I always felt the time wasn't right. Finally, at 44 years old, I went to a local shelter to inquire about a black kitten I saw on the shelter's website. The little black kitten was snuggled in his cage with his little tabby sister and I couldn't imagine separating them. I took them both home that day and am so so glad I did."
"My partner and I adopted Evie about 3 months ago! At first she wasn't comfortable and looked grumpy all the time, but you can see her slow progression to opening up and being more playful with us. Really cute to look back at now"
"My dad passed away on the 10th and my dog had to cross the rainbow bridge on the 21st, so I was feeling lonely and in need of companionship. While I was at the shelter donating the food I had bought for my beloved dog, I moseyed into the cat room and this little goofball picked me. I couldn't say no and ended up going home with Ms Cinder!"
"This is my lovely boy Benny. 2 months after adopting him I am totally in love & enjoying his presence in my life. One of the best choices ever. So smart, funny, effectionate & a tonne of attitude."
