Stray Guardian Doggo Rescues Lost Hiker Who Got Separated From His Group, the Wholesome Good Boy Leads Him Back to Camp (Video): '[He] appeared out of the fog'

Happy Furiday, animal fam. Doggos really are angels, minus the wings. They bring us joy, protect us, watch over us, and their pawsitive energy is literally legendary. Our doggos have saved our lives before, and puppers have been doing this since man first met wolves. Well, maybe not right from the start, but once we started feeding them, it pretty much started. Anyway, one good boy also saved the life of a lost hiker who got separated from his group while hiking on a mountain in Peru. Out of the fog, a stray dog appeared, and seemed to know the way back to camp!

With no other options, the lost man followed the dog, hoping he would lead him back to his mountain mates. Believe it or not, he actually did! He led him right to the place of his group's camp, and we're sure he got lots of treats and belly rubs as payment for doing such a kindhearted thing. Dogs really are the best, aren't they?     Can you imagine being lost on a mountain in a foreign country, and suddenly a dog appears? We would not be able to contain our joy. Just when everything was falling apart, a doggo comes to save the day. Without him, he might not have survived!

    According to the comments, there are a lot of these "mountain guide" dogs in Peru. They are strays that live on the mountain and help hikers for food and shelter. They enjoy the mountain life and are always happy to help out!

    zarazeta This is the doggie's purpose, he is a spirit guide. I'm Peruvian and have met plenty of these doggies, they are known by the locals and some of them even tried to give them homes but they will always choose the mountains and to accompany hikers, making sure nobody stays behind.

    shapesrobin I did the Santa Cruz trek last year and the same dog followed us for the whole trek. Our guide told us his name is Guardi and he tags along with groups a lot but he has a family who live somewhere near the beginning of the trek
