I wish there were more representation in mom groups for normal moms. It always seems like mom posters are at one of two extremes. They either only feed their children organic beets and radishes from non-fertilized soil and refuse to protect them from the most devastating childhood diseases, or they think that a pack of Oreos, a bag of Lays, and two cans of Dr. Pepper are perfectly acceptable things to pack for lunch. Not to be a centrist, but there has to be a middle ground with things like this. Your child won't expire if they have a cured meat sandwich, baby carrots, and string cheese for lunch. They probably will grow up with fewer complexes about food and fewer health problems if they learn the power of moderation before they turn 18. If you're a typical parent who can't help but laugh at parenting Facebook groups, these posts are for you.
