Eggnog, the smell of Christmas trees, howliday cards….these are all things that make us feel at home in the holidays. There's one more thing, perhaps our favorite thing, to add to this list: ugly sweaters. We love them. The uglier the better. Give us the hand-knitted sweater your grandma made with reindeer behinds crocheted on the front - we will wear it happily. We love them so much that we buy them not only for ourselves, but for our pets too. Our dogs get sweaters, our cats get sweaters, and when we had a hamster, he even had a sweater.

To be fair, we have a pit bull and she gets cold in the winter, so she has to wear one. Our overly dramatic husky, on the other hand, seems to think that we are committing a federal crime by attempting to pull a sweater over their heads. They can stand to wear it for a few pictures, and then they will tear it off…which makes it even uglier….which makes it even better (to us).
