'You'll want something from me. You'll see': Coworker pranks employee by pretending their wallet got stolen, employee gets even the next time she needs help

Playing pranks on your fellow employees is a dangerous game. First of all, there's the obvious: it's unprofessional behavior. That's a given, but of course, there's more nuance than that. Coworkers with so much time and energy on their hands to play pranks on others in the workplace might as well get the word "annoying" tattooed on their foreheads. Furthermore, you never know how your fellow employees will react to a prank. Perhaps they will explode in frustration and anger. Or, as was the case in this situation, perhaps they will enact some petty revenge on you that you were not expecting.

Here, we have an annoying coworker who nearly gave this Redditor a heart attack after claiming their wallet was stolen and thrown in the trash. After discovering that his wallet was perfectly intact, the Redditor was sick and tired of his coworker's nonsense. Not long after the incident, the coworker ended up needing a genuine helping hand because of a scheduling issue. Too bad! By that point, they had made too many enemies to seek help from others.
