Getting micromanaged is infuriating when you're the only competent employee in the office. This PIP worker noticed some strange activity on their laptop recently that sent them down a paranoia rabbit hole, wondering if their micromanager was peeking in on his work laptop's sessions. Spying on someone is always a violation. Whether is perfectly simple 'people watching' or you're a literal spy with binoculars and a trench coat, the subject of your survey can probably feel your eyeballs on their back. With a heebie-jeebie shiver running down their spine, suddenly every little move feels awkward and even tasks you've done 100 times start to get confusing. So when this employee discovered spyware on their work laptop, they were suddenly super self-conscious of their screen activity and made them distrust management to the point of drafting up his resignation letter (on another computer of course).

    Hours later I realize that every maybe 20 or 30 minutes, my monitors kind blink, like they go black for a half second, and make a tone. It took me too long admittedly to realize it's probably a screen capture. They installed spyware on my laptop to see what I'm doing.

    So I have had this to there on 1 of my screens for the last few captures. If I'm wrong, well, no one sees it but me (and you). But if I right, well I'm getting fired anyway so who cares about calling them out to their faces.

    FirstAid84 If Task Manager won't pull up anymore, even after reboot, then it's time to contact your IT support and get a new computer. I've worked with several of these spyware type agents at a previous job

    (on the security side) and none that I have seen will block any function on your machine (like Task Manager or screen print). They all work silently. So either someone got a terrible, cracked version of one of these softwares, or your machine has been legit hacked, or you have some other type of problem that requires repair/replace.
