So here's the pupdate after our vet visit today: They are all colored tagged now, so sadly orange and light blue are still at the vet for overnight observation. They are just the 2 pups having a hard time gaining weight and their labwork wasn't as strong compared to the others. The vets are just going to keep an eye on them for the night to make sure everything developed great and see if there's a reason why they're just choosing sleep over food. Light blue was one we had to save.

The rest of the pups are tripling in weight! Even the second runt (red) that we saved! They are getting more active everyday and green is becoming an escape artist from the playpen.

Now as for Bonnie, the prior vet for her spaying only took out 1 ovary. Left EVERYTHING ELSE in tact. Her bleeding was infact her heat cycle. Even with this documentation, just solidifies I'm going to small claims court with them. I tried to even show the old clinic the documentation and just asked for a refund for spaying and just the emergency vet visit bill to be paid from November, nothing else. They denied, so court it is.

The vet also did a DNA swab for the pups, but the vet is betting that they are Lab GREAT DANE mixes after showing the photo of the neighbor dogs. The neighbor (potential baby daddy for pups) they're excited to see the pups and even asked to help with them. That was sweet of them and I told them no need, but they're interested in a pup!

Bonnie is now more interested in being away from the cage for the last 2 days, she just wants to play with her siblings. Is this normal for new first time dog mothers?

Volunteer in animal rescue here--- it's not unusual for some momma pups to not take to being mothers at first (or sometimes at all--- they're like is going on I hate change and what is all this lol) or in some cases they may just want a break from the little ones for a bit. Means you need to be more hands on with the puppies to make sure they're gaining weight and such but you seem to be doing a fantastic job at that so far.

TranslatorMoney419 20h ago • WOW! Didn't know that was possible. We chose to do a laparoscopic spay on our girl. Was this a mistake made by the vet only removing one ovary? My girl had 2 inch long incisions, hoping he got both. Adorable pups, prayers for all, especially the mama.

Angus-Black • 17h ago Chocolate F... Top 1% Comme... Well, that's a new one for me. A Vet that doesn't understand spaying but does know about billing. They would have been smart to refund you as it's very obvious you didn't get what you paid for.

    • Awkward-Tangelo3377 6d ago • They are so cute! I would be demanding a refund from that vet. Did your dog go into heat after she was supposedly spayed?

Itchy-Word3546 OP. 6d ago • They're getting bigger! Everyone gained 2-4 ounces since yesterday! I asked the neighbor for a DNA sample from their male dogs, as the white pup is my only clue and their dogs were in my yard around October. Bonnie was fixed in August, but we found out in November she was pregnant from an emergency vet visit. Yes, I did find a new vet after the news.

I understand Shelters are full, that's where I got my other 2 lovely ladies from. This was 100% accidental, and was in my attempt preventable. The 2 solo photos of the pups are the runts. We are keeping them seperated until they double in weight so they can be healthy and grow.

The only white one is also photographed so if you feel like it's more great dane or dalmation let me know There is 8 girls and 4 boys! They have their first vet visit on the 20th! As for Bonnie, she was my trash pup I found.

Izarrax 6d ago • I hope that you will be able to finance 12 pups or will be able to get them into a foster home! As for the vet, please also post a review under Google or something to make it known that they actually didn't spay your doggo! Good luck with going to small claims and the pups ♥
