It's so fun to get lost in thought sometimes. I remember leaning against the window on the school bus, letting my imagination wander wherever it would, inventing scenarios, thinking of dumb jokes, mulling over song lyrics, and coming up with useless inventions. Your mind can be a wonderfully spacious palace if you let it be. You will be shocked by the things the brain will come up with on its own, unfettered. 

Think about all the weird things that happen in your dreams-- how surrealist they can be, how nuances, how totally out of left field. Your brain did that all by itself. Imagine what you can conceive when you're awake. So often, though, our brains are filled with the mundanity of our everyday lives. "I don't want to get out of bed." "I wonder if we're about to run out of milk." "That TikTok I saw was really funny." We can't blame ourselves. It's part of being human.
