UPDATE: ‘Not my problem anymore’: Woman cuts off her 39-year-old man-child ex-husband, removing herself as admin from his insurance, leaving him with higher payments and the weight of adult responsibilities

There's a strict difference between a trophy wife and a stay-at-home mom. While a trophy sits around and gathers dust in the house, a stay-at-home mom is the household's full-time personal assistant, a super mom, and a multitasking homemaker. There's a lot that goes into keeping a family afloat, too–just on the clerical side, you manage insurance, taxes, bills, school enrollment, and whatever else needs to be done. However, oftentimes, man-child husbands can forget what it takes to live a functioning adult life without their wives because it's simply been so long since they've had to do it themselves. What's a W2, honey? 

When the marriage in this next story took a turn for the worse due to infidelity and this man's ever-growing uselessness around the house, this (now) single stay-at-home mom packed her bags and took off with the kids. Suddenly, left with an empty fridge, a pile of unopened mail, and a mountain of unsorted laundry, he felt her absence a bit more keenly. But it became financially obvious when she decidedly removed herself from all of his admin paperwork.

  • Almost a week later, she posted an update regarding her husband's response to the news. Apparently with finances in a bind, he was hoping that her relinquishment of admin would cut costs for him. Silly as always, he was completely wrong and is getting exactly what he deserves for being a childish moron.
