The Most Wholesome Story Begins When a Family Finds the Skinniest Dog They Have ‘Ever Seen' On Their Porch, Find Him the Most Pawfect Furever Family

The internet can be a dark and dreary place, but one thing you can count on is that it has plenty of animal lovers' content! We can't be the only people whose algorithm shows them endless videos of people rescuing animals in need! From exotic animals being rescued by professionals to stray cats and dogs being rescued by unsuspecting families and animal friends. We never get sick of it!

That's why when we came across this story our hearts simply burst. A family simply walked out onto their porch one day and gandered upon something truly heart-wrenching. A very small and devastatingly skinny boxer dog had wandered to their home. The poor little guy looked scared and just so so sad, but he was instantly sweet to the family. The mom could not believe her eyes with how skinny he was. He truly seemed like he was on his last leg when he came to them for help, and she was not about to deprive him of that. So the family immediately took care of them. They sent him to the vet to get all checked and bathed. He came back ready to eat and cuddle! The pup had no chip and no sign of ownership, though he was pretty clean for a dog that looked like he must have been out in the wild for weeks without eating…

The family already has pets, so they were unsure if they would keep the little baby. They constantly went back and forth on the decision. The internet, of course, encouraged them to keep the little guy saying he “came to them for a reason.” But pet owners know that, unfortunately, that is not always the case. So, they temporarily fostered the babe for a good while. They showed him love and he quickly came out of his shell. He especially loved the family's little girl, who he would jump on their trampoline with.

Eventually, the family found the perfect furever home for him. They said that when his eventual-furever family came to meet him, he instantly jumped on the woman's lap and started licking her face. The family is very familiar with the boxer breed and even wowed the rescuer family with their knowledge of it. So now, he is thriving and living his best life (with a FULL belly at all times!) thanks to this loving family who helped him at his skinniest.
