Honesty hour: I don't drive. I'm from New York City and rely on public transit—which, in its own way, is just as bad as driving myself to work.
Traffic is the worst, we all know that. But when you're stuck in a sea of people praying for a subway train to come during peak rush hour in NYC, it's almost like crowd surfing. You cannot get through the masses unless you want to jump into the train tracks, which is obviously a no-go. At least when you're stuck in your car, you can blast the music you want and crank up the heat (because it's frigid in these train stations, I'm jealous.)
This isn't to say dealing with angry drivers isn't the absolute worst, too. You might even become an angry driver as a result of another angry driver's actions. Who knows. The point is, everyone is trying to get somewhere and everyone rushing to skip the line. The best thing we can do is hope we'll get to where we need to be, on time, and enjoy the ride.
