At the end of the day, the possibilities for how and why a roommate situation does not work out are infinite. Here, we have a 26-year-old woman who was living with a single mother and a 6-year-old kid. Unfortunately, it was not long before their eating habits began to affect the 26-year-old's day-to-day life.

This is a clear pro tip from the 26-year-old that, as she said, is a win-win. If you don't want someone constantly eating your food without permission—be it a roommate, coworker, sibling, etc.—just put lots of vegetables in it. There's a good chance they'll be less and less attracted to your meal… unless, of course, the food thief is a vegetarian. In that case, put some meat in there!
