This Week’s Heartwarming Helping of Newly Adopted Cats for Fresh Feline Pawrents (January 17, 2025)

A new year, but some things remain the same. Some things should remain the same. We should keep taking care of our mental health, we should keep being kind to ourselves and others, we should keep eating healthy, and of course, we should keep coming back here to meet the newly adopted faces of the week.

Every single week, right as you wake up on Friday morning, we bring you the newest and most wholesome cat adoption stories on the web. We did it last year, and we will continue now. Because this is a tradition that needs to continue. This - seeing cats find their furrever homes - is a tradition that makes us happy.

And another tradition that needs to continue is us saying thank you to everyone who adopted this week, because you did a good thing, and you deserve to hear it. And of course, an even bigger thank you goes to everyone who adopted senior cats, sick cats and every other "impurrfect" cat who needs a little more love than most. We wish you all many happy and healthy years together.

So many people get warned not to adopt another cat when they have a senior kitty. So many of them get told that there is no way they will learn to get along at that age. But that is so very not true. It's good for a senior kitty to have company, since you can never be with them full-time, even if it takes them a while to get used to that company.

That's just how it works. Sometimes, you don't get to plan your adoption journey. The cats plan it for you. And even though you never intended for this to happen, based on how happy these two look together, they were definitely planning it.
