'I'm going to have to reject your application': Candidate receives offer, goes in to sign contract, employer changes his mind

You might assume most hiring managers do their due diligence before a job offer is made, but then again, you know what they say happens when you assume…

Applying for jobs is a stressful experience, to say the least, so when you finally go through the interview process and receive an offer, you probably breathe the biggest sigh of relief. You finally did it, and the rest if just a formality. You're prepared to sign your contract, you have a start date, and you can't wait to make money again (or leave your current job if that's your situation). Well, I guess there is some validity to the sentiment that nothing is set in stone until after all contracts are signed and everything is confirmed in writing. 

This job candidate learned that the hard way…
