22 Lord of the Rings Memes for Middle Earth Couples on a Journey to Mordor

Everyone debates who the best Lord of the Rings character is, quoting characters like Legolas, Aragorn, Gandalf and Frodo. While those are undoubtedly heroic and epic guys in the story, everyone seems to forget the secret GOAT of the group: Gimli. 

Stubborn, short, tenaciously loyal, and a bit hairy, Gimli is one of the most relatable characters in the saga and one of my personal favorites. While he's a stout and burly little guy, he always comes through for his buddies, proving to be a critically pivotal character in all ways. He fights hard, he never relents, and he was the only mortal to even TRY to destroy the One Ring before they attempted to simply walk to Mordor. Now that's some initiative!

So if you're anything like me—an LOTR fan who finds a way to relate to all of my favorite characters—perhaps you've overlooked Gimli's steadfast dedication to the Fellowship. He may need a box to watch the Battle of Helm's Deep and he may be picked up and tactically tossed to slay some enemies, but he is one rough and tough homie who will always have your back.
