Hello, husbands and wives of the web. Have you ever found that those habits of your partner that drive you crazy are the very ones you find yourself missing the most when they are away? I recently went to visit my parents for three weeks, and my fiancé confessed over Face Time that he was a bit sad that he didn't have to close the toothpaste cap at all since I left. Naturally, he takes no enjoyment in the task, but the fact that he didn't have to during that time served as a reminder of my absence. Similarly, besides missing the usual, soppy things — his laugh, his smile, his smell — I began really craving his long-winded explanations and detailed reviews of movie plots to films I have no intention of seeing (for context, he is a film student). After a long day at work, his ramblings are not always welcome, but when I was away, I looked forward to hearing every word. Indeed, you can't live with them, and you really can't live without them.
