'I reported her': Mom with two loud teenagers files false noise complaints to get back at neighbor, ends up evicted after tenant proves her wrong in front of management

Finding an affordable apartment that's in decent condition these days is almost as rare as winning the lottery. But when you do stumble upon one (and actually get accepted), you get the keys, envision your new life, and imagine how peaceful you'll be in your new place...only to move in and discover you're living next to the world's most obnoxious neighbors. I live in a duplex, and while my upstairs neighbors aren't intentionally loud, the house is so old that I can hear every single footstep, every toilet flush, and even their cat's midnight zoomies. All for $2,200 a month. When I first moved in, I had to sleep with headphones on just to block it all out. But eventually, I adjusted.

As for the guy in this story, there was no adjusting to the noise caused by an entitled mom and her two teens blasting music late into the night. When he finally reported them to the complex's security, the mom tried to pull an uno reverse, only to get served with a 14-day eviction notice.

  • I’ve read some pretty satisfying stories about entitled neighbors getting what they deserve. One guy scared off his neighbor’s constant Airbnb guests by pointing out the snakes living above the door, and another rebuilt his tree with PVC pipe after the HOA wrongfully cut it down. But all this guy had to do was be honest and let karma handle the rest, and that's the best kind of revenge. Let’s just hope those teens don’t follow in their mom’s footsteps.
