The woman was handling all of her tools professionally and did not ask or even appear to be in need of any assistant. Yet, the men who approached her told her point blank, they came out to watch her make mistakes and correct her. They assumed she would have no idea what she was doing.
But to their surprise, she was doing everything correctly. They tried to start explaining what she had to do, but she interrupted them (something women are far too used to men doing to them) to say, "pay attention!" and then explain step-by-step exactly how to change a tire. The men laughed along and watched in amazement that a woman could change a tire. Did these men learn any lesson? Ehhh, maybe or maybe not. They probably thought it was some crazy once-in-a-lifetime thing that they would encounter a woman who can change a tire. Still, the video has ignited fires in the feminist heart of many women online.

Woman Changing a Tire Hilariously Turns the Tables on a Group of Men Trying to ‘Mansplain’ By Explaining What She is Doing Step-by-Step
If you haven't heard "mansplaining" yet, then you really live under a rock. The term is often attributed to being coined in a 2008 essay by Rebecca Solnit entitled Men Explain Things to Me. It is, very cleverly, the combination of the words "men" and "explain," but provides a more nefarious definition. It isn't as simple as a man trying to be "helpful." It is when a man assumes he knows something more than the person he is explaining to based simply on the fact that she is a woman. Often times, it is when men explain something to a woman who is actually an expert in that area. My personal example would be witnessing a working musician get their instrument settings messed with by a man simply because he doesn't think they know what they are doing because they are women. Sir, they have been musicians all of their life and have been using that exact equipment for decades.
In this instance, it was as simple as a woman changing her tire. Granted, I am going to give the men in this video an itty bitty tiny bit of a break because they sound old and were most likely raised on the antiquated version of "chivalry" where women were never even taught how to change a tire. They probably have many experiences where they actually did come to the rescue when they saw a woman with a flat tire. Still, it doesn't make the mansplaining any less infuriating.
