Gift-giving can be one of the greatest joys in life. And let's not forget to mention the ever-present financial issue. Gift-giving can be one of the most high-risk/high-reward events that life has to offer, and I, for one, am here for it every time. 

One woman experienced the drawbacks of gift-giving to the extremes when the gift that she gave to her niece for her wedding became a family affair. When an act of genuine kindness and love starts a fire of intense family drama, is it really the onus of the gift-giver to right the wrongs? Or is there a much larger generational issue at hand?
