If you were lucky, your parents would splurge on popcorn and maybe even some candy, turning the living room into a makeshift theater. And let's not forget that half the time your dad would be asleep ten minutes in, and your mom would be asking a million questions about the plot. But none of that mattered. What mattered was watching a movie that made you feel like the main character, whether it was an animated classic, an early 90s adventure, or a coming-of-age film that hit way too hard.

Reality really sets in when you rewatch your childhood favorites as an adult. Suddenly the plot holes are glaring, the jokes you didn't understand as a kid are wildly unhinged, and you're left wondering why you ever thought this was peak cinema. But no matter what the critics say, those movies will always hold a special place in your heart.
