'[My cat] adopted my dog': Newly rescued kitty forms an instant bond with family Pitbull, choosing him as her sibling and snuggling with him every night

Believe it or not, some people think that cats are unfriendly. Still. They fall for this unexplained propaganda that appeared sometime throughout history. They don't understand cats. What they see as "unfriendly" is actually just "careful". Cats are possessive, cats are territorial, so when cats love, they love hard, and they know it, so they choose who to love carefully. But that doesn't mean that they are not friendly. 

If cats are not friendly, how do you explain all the stories of cats becoming best friends with babies, and cats being longtime friends with birds, and cats choosing dogs as their best friends? How do you explain today's story? Cats are friendly. You simply have to be worthy of their friendship. And although it is true that the honor of a friendship with a cat is not one that is given to everyone, those of us who do get it should see it for what it is and cherish it. Like the dog in this story is doing. These two will be friends for a long, long time.

  • And people say that bonds between cats and dogs can only happen when the two of them are introduced to one another very young. Untrue. And this friendship is the proof. It's just about their pawsonalities. They have just as much character as any other creature, and if these characters match, friendships will bloom.

    True-Blue1973 That's so wonderful that they are getting along so well. Pit bulls are getting the wrong rap about their disposition in too many ways. It all depends on how they are raised from the beginning. I believe that they are gentle giants with a tender heart

  • It does not matter which kind of dog and which kind of cat it is as long as they are happy with one another. As long as they vibe. What's more important than anything is them being able to match energies. Maybe she chose the Pitbull because he can give as good as she can. We'll never know.
