‘I did not steal my own cat!’: Nosy neighbors call the cops after watching cat pawrent trying to wrangle their fluffy feline escapee indoors in hissterically awkward and alarming display

We give our cats everything. We give them food, shelter, multiple cat beds, our own bed, treats, unlimited love and affection….and yet they still try to escape to the great outdoors. Why leave when you have everything right here? We'll never understand, and they'll never stop trying. Luckily, it has only happened to us once, and they immediately ran back inside because it was too cold out for their purrfect princess toe beans. 

Well, apparently not everyone is so lucky. Today's story features a feline escapee, a snow accident, cat wrangling, the cops, and some nosy neighbors. Sounds as juicy as a fresh can of tuna, right? Well, all we can say is that cops have never showed up to our place because of our cats, so we can't cross that off our "Never Have I Ever" list.   • We have to be honest: Kira looks like a troublemaker. She just looks like the cat that is so cute that they have to make up for it in some sort of mischievous way. In this case, it's the desire to be outside at all costs.

    So here I am, in nothing but my robe and slippers running after my cat who has never touched snow before today. She's having a hay day and eating the snow while I slipped on my stairs and ate sh. At this point I'm mad, wet, and yelling at my cat to, and I quote, "get over here or I'll ship your furry a to Australia"

    We recently got new neighbors. They come out to see a half n ked 18 year old dog piling a cat as it screams murder and proceeds to claw my eye out "Hey! Is that your cat?" Sh. They think I'm stealing her.

    Neighbors go back inside, I think, it's all over now. I'm bl ding, I clean up a bit and suddenly I hear a very loud knock at the door "police department, open up!" F 1. I'm terrified of cops. They think I stole a cat. I'm bl ding at the nose and I'm still half n ked and covered in mud. I panic again. I run down stairs and open the door with a nervous smile "I DIDNT STEAL MY OWN CAT" is all that came out of my mouth as I faced the two officers.

  • Yeah, this is the real weird part of the story. Nosy neighbors we can believe, but cops actually showing up for a “stolen” cat? We've never heard of that before. We wish the cops in our area cared about cats that much!

    . _drydock_ 22h ago Good Lord, if I saw a half-n ked person scrambling after a cat in 10°, I would know they were a frantic pet owner. I've had a handful of my own chases in bad weather after a pet who made a bad decision. It's scary and unfun when you're worried over your fur baby. Glad you got your angry cat back.     When I was in college and still living at home, my grumpy old man neighbor called the police because our dogs were barking in the afternoon in their own backyard. THE HORROR I would understand if it was midnight or something but police guy showed up and said "dogs bark sorry but we still have to respond." I felt bad for him. And I definitely didn't live in a rich neighborhood.
