HOA forbids resident's friends from visiting because of their SUVs, sending petty email after resident's birthday party: 'Concerning event during your recent birthday party'

It's time for the people who run these HOAs to find something better to do with their lives. These folks need real hobbies. Read a book, do a puzzle, take pilates, etc. As long as you get off the backs of your fellow residents who, believe it or not, are just trying to live in peace.

In this instance, we have a resident who recently threw a low-key birthday party with a group of friends in their own home. In terms of visitors, the resident explained that there were about six vehicles in their driveway and two other vehicles parked normally on the side of the street. Somehow, this party caused a stir not because of the noise level or the time of day, but rather, it was because of the type of vehicles these visitors drove…

  • That's right. The vice president of this resident's local homeowner's association wrote a strongly worded email following their birthday party about the fact that some of the visitors were driving SUVs with blacked-out windows. Apparently, this raised the anxiety levels of their fellow neighbors in the community and caused enough of a stir that now, the resident had to be punished for it.

    Everyone who looks the same quickly exits the vehicles. They look around, point at things. The ones that are different get out after and walk to the door. After they are in the home, everyone else quickly rushes into the home.
