Momma cat’s babies cross the rainbow bridge, so her wholesome owners foster orphaned kittens for her, and she instantly adopts them and makes them her family

There is nothing quite as wholesome and pure as a momma cat taking care of her newborn kittens. Seeing these calm and collected creatures surrounded by their wiggly, squeaky, chaotic offspring is… hilarious. And adorable. But as overwhelming as motherhood can be to some momma cats, and yes, even cat moms need breaks sometimes, it's still so obvious that they love their kittens and are happy to take care of them. 

That's what makes stories like these so much more gut-wrenching. This cat was clearly so ready to be a mother… but things didn't quite work out, and her babies ended up crossing the rainbow bridge far too early in their little lives. But the momma still had so much love to give, so much caring motherly energy, so her humans did what they could. They could not bring back her babies, but they could foster other orphaned kittens for her to love. And she did her very best every time, taking the kittens in, adopting them as if they were her own, and giving them all the love that they needed to thrive.
