‘This was the most stressful day in my life since I took the bar exam’: Dad gets adorably attached to his daughter’s hamster, accidentally loses him, then sends hilarious texts documenting his efforts

Good morning, friends and animal fam. We all know the story of the dads who "'didn't want pets" and then fell adorably in love with them. Well, this is a different version of that same old story, but with a new twist! This dad got adorably attached to his daughter's hamster after she left for college. Maybe it reminded him of her (a little weird, but we get it), or maybe it was a sign of his commitment to her by taking care of something she held precious while she was leaving the nest.

Anyway, he loved this hamster. And then, one day, tragedy struck - the hamster escaped! He starts sending his daughter frantic texts, apologizing for his mistake. It's both hilarious and heartwarming, seeing this dad make such a big deal out of the hamster escaping. Long story short, they find the hamster, but not before he says "This was the most stressful day of my life since I took the bar exam." Scroll down to read the whole text exchange below!

  • “You are a lawyer and he is a hamster” is literally one of the funniest things we have read in a while. This man goes to work and helps hoomans all day (or so we like to believe), and he was willing to call in sick to look for his daughter's hamster. If that isn't precious, we're not sure what is.
