Many people, once they decide they have to break up with a long-term partner, fear to actually do so because of how it may complicate their lives. They would have to move out, decide which one of them takes which furniture, completely divide their friends, and don't even get me started about pets or kids. Then they have to hit the reset button in almost every aspect of their lives, and that is quite daunting. 

Other people, concentrate on not overthinking it, simply do what must be done, and then deal with the consequences later. 

No matter which type of people you are dealing with, to be on the receiving end of a break-up, is never easy. But there is something about the people who act first and then think later that sting a little bit more. 

The partner in the story below did not expect his fiancé to break up with him the way that she did, and it was obvious that she did not allow herself to overthink it.
