When it comes to a lot of things in life, good or bad, it can feel like waiting is the hardest part. When you are sitting around hoping that something will finally happen, it's very easy to wish your days away without doing anything useful with them. If you are going to procrastinate through the waiting process or indeed any other kind of process, you may as well do it in style. This is a philosophy that memes wholeheartedly get behind, and indeed something that many of them encourage. They distract us from whatever else might be on our minds with their relatable yet humorous takes on everyday life, or sometimes just their straight-up weirdness. They are the very best in instant gratification, but we can always find ourselves craving more once we have had a taste. They're just that good at diverting us from all of those other frustrations.
