Remote work has allowed many individuals in the workforce to save time that would have been spent traveling to work, on other things. However, remote work isn't always an option for customer service employees. Customer-facing roles are necessary, though, and most of the employees in this line of work are amazing at what they do… even if their bosses don't always recognize that.

But things happen, right? Freak snow storms in February aren't out of the ordinary (so long as you're not living in South Florida).  When you decide to tough it out and journey out to your workplace despite the bad weather, you're already showing another ounce of dedication another employee wouldn't have. So, when you get stuck on the side of the road because of the snow, you hope your boss will be understanding. You even make it to work after waiting for roadside assistance, just to be scolded… and be told you were followed. The employee in this story is at a loss for words. Scroll to read.
