'I thought you were covering it since you picked it up': Coworker claims to accidentally order two lunches, eats both then expects colleague to pay

Eating lunch with coworkers can be hit or miss. At my old job, our boss highly encouraged us to eat together every Tuesday, even reserving the basement conference room like that was some kind of thrilling incentive. Every once in a while, we'd order takeout as a group, and even though someone would front the cost when they picked it up, you'd eventually pay for what you ordered. That's just basic etiquette, right?

Well, apparently not for one office worker who got put in an awkward situation when a coworker "accidentally" ordered two meals and then casually assumed someone else would cover it. But the second she was asked to pay for her extra meal, suddenly she had thoughts about fairness. Was it petty to make her pay up, or was she trying to pull a fast one?
