Mochi is an amazing, adorable, and resilient 6 lb. Munchkin kitten. She was purchased by a U.S. family from a breeder in China and unfortunately, shortly after arriving to the U.S., she had a bad reaction (infection) to a vaccine she received there. When the family brought her to a rescue shelter due to her infection,

it was quite advanced, and it resulted in her needing one hind leg, both ears, and her tail amputated. The family who bought her no longer wanted her and we immediately fell in love when we saw her up for adoption. She's a fearless adventurer and a goofy adorable fluffball! We've had her for just over two years now and she is purrfectly healthy!

GrandGalactclnquistr With her ear amputations, does she have a hard time hearing you?

romgm OP Nope! She appears to hear quite well. Only her outer ear is damaged. She still has her inner ear intact as well as the muscles on the base of her ears. That lets us see if she's "twitching” or "pulling back" her ears in different situations. But she sure as h_I hears us yell “Churu time!” so don't let her innocent eyes deceive you.

Sewing_girl_101 They didn't want her?? They brought a cat all the way from China, got her looked at, and didn't want her??? How cruel. I'm glad she has more loving parents

CheezQueen924 Reading four amputations made me so sad, but then I saw the pictures of her clearly thriving and I'm so happy for you all!

strangesadhappiness First time reading four amputations my brain immediately took that to mean all her legs were amputated and was pretty confused looking at the pictures until I finally saw the caption Mochi is so cute though and I'm glad she still has 3 legs at least and not 0 (C)
