Well, you would think that with the many hundreds of years that hoomans and cats have been friends, that we would have learned to never give cats catnip and leave them unattended. It is an act of pure folly, and purrhaps it is a matter of waiting until something bad happens. Causing all of hoomanity to understand the risks involved, but even if that is the case, it seems that with enough time the lessons of the past are forgotten and we are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.
