5-year-old shunned by her step-grandparents spends 12 years watching them spoil her three older step-siblings, ends up calling them out as a teenager for their favoritism: ‘I was left watching kids play together while I was ignored’

There's nothing worse than the feeling of being left out. This stepdaughter endured a full family shunning for 12 years before she finally snapped. Although her step-grandparents probably thought she'd grow out of her resentment for them, they were totally wrong. 

Being the black sheep of the family is strange. While you're still a part of this group of people, you're the eternal outsider, banished to the fringes of family events for your whole life. Oftentimes, we can grow out of the FOMO, but not everyone can overcome that feeling of being left out. Especially when you're a kid, watching your step-siblings playing as a group out on your grandparents' lawn is devastating when you're cordially uninvited. A kid doesn't understand the nuances of remarriage, second families, and paternity, but they do understand the feeling of watching their step-siblings get 100 gifts from Pappy and Meemaw, while they're left with nothing. 

But by the time this teenaged girl grew up, she was tired of the favoritism and decided to call out the family that shunned her for years.
