"This cat had me convinced she was a stray for 3 years!"
-
02
“I moved into my house about four years ago, and this cat has been around ever since."
"She never leaves the yard. For three years, she had me convinced she was a stray. I fed her, gave her pets and brushes, and even put out a heated blanket for her during the winter (last pic). Eventually, I started calling her "Kitty Poo," and she responded, coming out of whatever bush she was sleeping in to greet me."

"Whenever I sit, she climbs onto my lap or hops onto my shoulders. Every time I’m outside, she follows me around—even joining me on walks around the neighborhood. (I live on farmland.)"
"One day, I happened to ask my neighbor if they knew anything about her, thinking maybe the previous owners had abandoned her. Turns out, she actually is my neighbor's cat! They told me she avoids their yard because their dogs chase her, so she prefers to hang out in mine. I felt like such a sucker and apologized for feeding her, but my neighbor didn't seem to care much."

"To this day, I still feed her bits of chicken and cat food, give her water, and brush her coat—because I’ve noticed my neighbors don’t. I’ve honestly never even seen her "go home." She’s always here, waiting for me."
-

"Met this little cutie on my way home."

"He looked so lost… but so full of hope!

"Not my cat and doesn’t seem to want to leave. My neighbors don’t seem to care about her"
"Well, a few months ago, my neighbors got a kitten. She's always outside—I don't think they've ever let her in the house. From day one, she would run over to my yard anytime she saw me and demand attention. Over time, I started feeding her occasionally, and soon enough, she began spending all day in my front or back yard. My backyard door is glass, so I'd see her sitting there for hours. Every time I opened it, she'd try to dart inside."
-
08
"About two weeks ago, I finally let her in for a visit, and since then… she hasn’t really wanted to leave."
"I didn't see the harm—she's always outside anyway, and my neighbors live right next door, so she could go back whenever she wanted. I still let her out, but she mostly chooses to stay with me now. I took her to the vet for shots since I assume she's never had them, and I have my own indoor cats. I'm also considering getting her spayed because it's mating season, and if she's outside, she's pretty much guaranteed to get pregnant."
-
09
"My neighbors haven’t noticed she’s missing—though sometimes I think she sneaks into their backyard to hang out with their chickens."
"I'm not sure if I've technically stolen her or not. She's free to leave, she and my dog love hanging out in the yard together, but overall, she just seems to want to be in the house with us."
-
10
"She’s also very food insecure—she will stop at nothing to get food."
"She once tried to jump into my blender for yogurt, and the other day, we caught her trying to eat a cilantro leaf. Honestly, I don't even know if my neighbors have been feeding her. So, not my cat. But she definitely seems to think she's my cat."

-
14
"Only 2 got close but the others were curious for sure"
-
15
"Not my cat in with my chicken who just hatched her babies. Guess she has another baby now and I may have another mouth to feed."
-
16
"Oops left the door open…"
-
17
"and got a cute visitor!"
-
18
"This is Maleficent. She lives in my house. I pay for her cat food. She is not my cat. She was supposed to be my snuggly lovey void kitty."
"Instead she lives exclusively in my eldest's room. This is, it should be noted, 100% her choice and she's free to wander the entire house. But she is not my cat.""

-
23

-
24
" But when I pet him, he bites me. If I ignore him, he attacks my ankles. He’s always trying to get in the house."
-
25
"He’s my neighbor’s cat and fed daily."
